GRAPHIC DESIGN INTERN (Training-Focused, Hybrid)
Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – Remote + In-Person Studio Days)
Schedule: ~20 hours per week | 3-month program
About the Internship
Our creative team is seeking a self-motivated and versatile Graphic Design Intern to create engaging, on-brand graphics across multiple media. You’ll work directly with the Creative Director and Project Manager and gain hands-on experience in a professional agency environment.
This internship is designed for current students, recent graduates, or early-career creatives who want to build skills in graphic design, branding, and digital media, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, training, and portfolio development. You’ll also have access to our studio and select software/equipment to create personal portfolio pieces outside of client work, along with additional studio perks to support your creative growth. We are specifically seeking creative, versatile designers who can produce professional-quality visuals and are eager to learn and contribute in a fast-paced agency environment.
*IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates must provide a portfolio or examples of previous work or classwork to be considered.
What You’ll Do (with Support & Mentorship)
You’ll be learning by doing—but always with guidance from experienced team members.
Conceptualize & Produce Visuals
Develop illustrations such as logos, social media graphics, flyers, and other designs.
Produce graphics for multiple mediums including social media, email marketing, and web.
Adhere to brand guidelines provided by clients or our team.
Shadow and Assist on Projects
Observe how we develop concepts for different clients and campaigns.
Sit in on creative briefings, internal brainstorms, and select client check-ins.
Assist with basic pre-production tasks, such as mood boards, asset organization, and design templates.
Support Production & Design Execution
Help prepare assets for digital, social, and print production.
Assist with layout, typography, and other visual design tasks under supervision.
Learn file organization, export workflows, and platform-specific requirements.
As your skills grow, contribute directly to projects, including social graphics, marketing materials, presentations, and event assets.
Learn Post-Production & Asset Management
Assist with refining graphics, editing visuals, and adapting content for multiple platforms.
Support the team in keeping digital assets organized.
Contribute ideas for visual storytelling and design improvements.
Strategy & Review Sessions
Participate in internal reviews to understand feedback, iteration, and refinement processes.
Gain insight into creative decision-making, client expectations, and project workflows.
Receive regular feedback from the Creative Director, Project Manager, and team.
What You’ll Learn
Over the 3 months, you’ll develop practical, professional design skills, including:
Understanding end-to-end workflows for creating graphics for digital, social, and print campaigns.
Learning how to create branded content and adapt it for different platforms and formats.
Practicing Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign in a professional workflow.
Learning project planning, visual storytelling, and design best practices.
Observing how a creative team collaborates across strategy, design, social, and production.
Receiving ongoing feedback and mentorship, including guidance for portfolio-building.

Studio Access & Perks
Access to our studio to create unpaid personal portfolio projects (outside client work, subject to scheduling).
Ability to use select studio software and equipment for approved portfolio projects.

Ideal Skills & Background
You don’t need to be an expert—we’re here to help you grow. You’ll be a great fit if:
You’re a current student, recent graduate, or early-career creative interested in graphic design, media, communications, marketing, or related fields.
You can produce professional-quality or near-professional-quality visuals, or you’re actively developing those skills.
You have working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign (After Effects is a plus, not required).
Experience with web and UX design is a bonus.
You’re open to feedback, comfortable communicating, and enjoy collaborating with a small team.
You’re organized, reliable, accountable, and able to manage multiple projects.
You’re eager to learn, contribute ideas, and take initiative.
You’re genuinely interested in branding, media, and visual storytelling.
Schedule, Compensation & Location
Length: 3 months
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Compensation: This is an unpaid, training-focused internship.
Stipend: $15 per day for transportation and meals on days worked.
Location: Hybrid – you’ll work remotely most of the time.
This role requires attending in-person productions in Atlanta and surrounding areas 1–3 times per week, depending on the production schedule.
Note: This internship may be eligible for academic credit depending on your institution’s requirements. Please check with your school if you plan to receive credit. We’re happy to complete required paperwork where possible.
Internship Structure & Growth Path
Onboarding Week
If selected, you’ll start with an onboarding and training week (remote and/or hybrid) focused on:
Learning our tools, workflows, and expectations
Getting to know the team and how we communicate
Setting your learning goals for the internship
This onboarding week is part of the 3-month internship and is covered by the same $15/day stipend.
3-Month Internship
After onboarding, you’ll move into the full internship phase:
~20 hours per week for the remainder of the 3 months
Ongoing project support, mentorship, and portfolio development
Regular check-ins to align on goals, expectations, and growth
Phase Two: Paid Creative Fellowship (Optional, Not Guaranteed)
Interns who demonstrate strong performance, professionalism, and growth may be invited to continue into a second phase as a Paid Creative Fellow (typically an additional 3-month period).
The fellowship is a paid, early-career role with increased responsibility and continued mentorship.
You’ll continue to support our creative, social, and production work while deepening your skills and familiarity with our workflows.
Selection for the fellowship depends on performance and business needs and is not guaranteed.
