The Upper Westside is a Community Improvement District (CID), a special governmental entity formed by local commercial property owners and legislated by the City of Atlanta.

Formed in 2016 by a group civic-minded commercial property owners, the Upper Westside Improvement District focuses on improving transportation, safety, connectivity, and the overall quality of life in the area. Through strategic investments and strong community collaboration, the district aims to support thoughtful growth across Atlanta’s Upper Westside.
