BUSINESS OPERATIONS INTERN (Training-Focused, Hybrid)

Location: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid – Remote + In-Person Studio Days)

Schedule: ~20 hours per week | 3-month program

About the Internship

Our team is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Business Operations Intern to support the day-to-day administrative, HR, and operational functions of our growing creative agency. You’ll work directly with the Operations Manager and COO, gaining hands-on exposure to how a small agency runs behind the scenes.

This internship is designed for current students, recent graduates, or early-career professionals who want to grow into an Operations, HR, or Business Management role. The program emphasizes mentorship, structured training, and real responsibility—not just task work.

You’ll gain visibility into recruiting, onboarding, systems management, finance tracking, internal processes, and team coordination in a fast-paced creative environment.

Candidates should have strong organizational skills and a genuine interest in business operations, HR, or leadership to be considered.

What You’ll Do (with Support & Mentorship)

You’ll be learning by doing—but always with guidance from experienced leadership.

Support Daily Operations

  1. Assist the Operations Manager and COO with administrative and operational tasks.

  2. Help maintain internal systems, workflows, and documentation.

  3. Support coordination of internal events.

HR & Recruiting Support

  1. Assist with onboarding preparation, contracts, and internal documentation.

  2. Help manage candidate communications and recruiting pipelines.

  3. Support team record-keeping and internal HR organization.

  4. Observe and learn how HR policies and compliance are maintained in a small business.

Systems & Process Development

  1. Help audit and improve internal workflows.

  2. Assist with updating SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).

  3. Support organization of shared drives, dashboards, and project management systems.

  4. Contribute ideas to improve efficiency and team communication.

Finance & Administrative Exposure

  1. Assist with tracking invoices, payments, and basic reporting.

  2. Help organize vendor information and revenue stream tracking.

  3. Learn how operational budgets and expense caps are monitored.

  4. Observe how leadership evaluates operational performance and profitability.

Strategy & Leadership Exposure

  1. Sit in on internal operations meetings and select leadership check-ins.

  2. Observe how decisions are made regarding hiring, scaling, and workflow improvements.

  3. Participate in review sessions to understand how performance and systems are evaluated.

  4. Receive regular feedback from the Operations Manager and COO.

  7. You’re eager to grow into a future Operations Manager, Business Manager, or similar leadership role.

  8. Experience with tools like Google Workspace, Jibble, or QuickBooks is a plus (but not required).

Schedule, Compensation & Location

  1. Length: 3 months

  2. Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week

  3. Compensation: This is an unpaid, training-focused internship.

  4. Stipend: $15 per day for transportation and meals on days worked

Location: Hybrid – you’ll work remotely most of the time.

This role requires attending in-person productions in Atlanta and surrounding areas 1–3 times per week, depending on the production schedule.

Note: This internship may be eligible for academic credit depending on your institution’s requirements. Please check with your school if you plan to receive credit. We’re happy to complete required paperwork where possible.

Internship Structure & Growth Path

Trial/Onboarding Week

If selected, you’ll start with an onboarding and training week (remote and/or hybrid) focused on:

  1. Learning our tools, workflows, and expectations

  2. Getting to know the team and how we communicate

  3. Setting your learning goals for the internship

This onboarding week is in addition to the 3-month internship and is covered by the same $15/day stipend.

3-Month Internship

After onboarding, you’ll move into the full internship phase:

  1. ~20 hours per week for 3 months

  2. Ongoing project support, mentorship, and portfolio development

  3. Regular check-ins to align on goals, expectations, and growth

Phase Two: Paid Creative Fellowship (Optional, Not Guaranteed)

Interns who demonstrate strong performance, professionalism, and growth may be invited to continue into a second phase as a Paid Creative Fellow (typically an additional 3-month period).

  1. The fellowship is a paid, early-career role with increased responsibility and continued mentorship.

  2. You’ll continue to support our creative, social, and production work while deepening your skills and familiarity with our workflows.

  3. Selection for the fellowship depends on performance and business needs and is not guaranteed.
