SOCIAL MEDIA & CONTENT CREATION INTERN
(Training-Focused, Hybrid)

About the Internship
Our creative team is seeking a self-motivated and creative Social Media & Content Creation Intern to support content development, social media management, and digital marketing initiatives across a variety of brands and industries.
This internship is designed for current students, recent graduates, or early-career creatives who want to build real-world experience in social media marketing, content creation, digital storytelling, and brand communications. You'll work directly with our Creative Director, Project Managers, and content team while receiving mentorship, training, and portfolio-building opportunities.
You will be assigned real client projects and will help support internal branding and marketing initiatives for our agency (Chil & Co.), studio (Chil Studios), and community organization (fourofour).
You'll also have access to our studio and select equipment to create personal portfolio projects outside of client work, along with additional studio perks to support your creative growth.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Candidates must provide examples of social media content, photography, and or videography work to be considered.
What You'll Do (with Support & Mentorship)
Create Engaging Content
Assist in developing content for Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other social platforms.
Create social media graphics, captions, stories, reels, and short-form video content.
Support content planning and content calendar development.
Research trends, hashtags, creators, and emerging social media opportunities.
Shadow & Assist on Client Projects
Observe how social media strategies are developed for different brands and industries.
Sit in on internal brainstorms, content planning meetings, and select client check-ins.
Assist with gathering assets, organizing content libraries, and preparing materials for campaigns.
Learn how agencies manage multiple brands and content calendars simultaneously.
Support Content Production
Assist with photography, video shoots, and behind-the-scenes content creation.
Capture basic photo and video content for social media under team guidance.
Help edit and format content for various social platforms.
Learn platform-specific best practices for content optimization.
Community Management & Social Support
Assist with monitoring social channels and engagement opportunities.
Help organize influencer, partnership, and user-generated content initiatives.
Learn how to evaluate content performance and audience engagement.
Strategy & Review Sessions
Participate in content reviews and creative critiques.
Gain insight into campaign strategy, audience targeting, and brand positioning.
Receive regular feedback from the Creative Director, Project Managers, and team.
Learn how social media efforts support larger marketing and business objectives.

Ideal Skills & Background
You don't need to be an expert—we're here to help you grow. You'll be a great fit if:
You're a current student, recent graduate, or early-career creative interested in marketing, communications, public relations, media, journalism, advertising, or related fields.
You're active on social media and understand current platform trends.
You have experience creating content for social media, whether through personal projects, coursework, student organizations, or freelance work.
Basic experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, Premiere Pro, or similar content creation tools is a plus.
You enjoy writing, storytelling, photography, videography, or digital content creation.
You're open to feedback, comfortable communicating, and enjoy collaborating with a small team.
You're organized, reliable, accountable, and able to manage multiple projects.
You're eager to learn, contribute ideas, and take initiative.
You're genuinely interested in branding, social media, content marketing, and digital storytelling.
Preferred but Not Required
Photography or videography experience.
Experience managing personal, student organization, or business social media accounts.
Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, CapCut, or social scheduling tools.
Interest in marketing or digital advertising.
This internship is designed to provide hands-on experience, professional mentorship, and portfolio-building opportunities while helping you develop the skills needed for a career in social media, content creation, and digital marketing.
Schedule, Compensation & Location
Length: 3 months
Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week
Compensation: This is an unpaid, training-focused internship.
Stipend: $15 per day for transportation and meals on days worked.
Location: Hybrid – you’ll work remotely most of the time.
This role requires attending in-person productions in Atlanta and surrounding areas 1–3 times per week, depending on the production schedule.
Note: This internship may be eligible for academic credit depending on your institution’s requirements. Please check with your school if you plan to receive credit. We’re happy to complete required paperwork where possible.
Internship Structure & Growth Path
Onboarding Week
If selected, you’ll start with an onboarding and training week (remote and/or hybrid) focused on:
Learning our tools, workflows, and expectations
Getting to know the team and how we communicate
Setting your learning goals for the internship
This onboarding week is part of the 3-month internship and is covered by the same $15/day stipend.
3-Month Internship
After onboarding, you’ll move into the full internship phase:
~20 hours per week for the remainder of the 3 months
Ongoing project support, mentorship, and portfolio development
Regular check-ins to align on goals, expectations, and growth
Phase Two: Paid Creative Fellowship (Optional, Not Guaranteed)
Interns who demonstrate strong performance, professionalism, and growth may be invited to continue into a second phase as a Paid Creative Fellow (typically an additional 3-month period).
The fellowship is a paid, early-career role with increased responsibility and continued mentorship.
You’ll continue to support our creative, social, and production work while deepening your skills and familiarity with our workflows.
Selection for the fellowship depends on performance and business needs and is not guaranteed.
